SHOCKING SERVICE FROM ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT

Good Day

I would hereby like to make everyone aware to check with medical aid before making payments to Medicross in Walmer, as their accounts department leaves a lot to be desired. In December I went to Medicross in Walmer to see a Doctor and the Doctor and reception staff where fantastic but that is where the good service ended. In January I get a letter from them stating that my medical aid has rejected the claim and that I need to make a payment before the end of the month. I make the payment as it is my responsibility if the medical aid has rejected it and then send a letter to my medical aid querying why the claim was rejected. The medical aid comes back to me and states that the claim was never submitted. I then contact the Medicross and query and they then admit that the claim was never submitted to the medical aid. My question is : How can you send a letter out stating that the claim was rejected by the medical aid when in fact you never submitted it to begin with? I then query as to if they can possibly pay the money back into my account. They state they can indeed, but only once the medical aid payment reflects in their account, which is totally understandable. I then proceed to wait another further 2 weeks for the money to reflect in their account. I send a letter with my banking details and wait another further 2 weeks for the money to be paid over. To my dismay the money is paid via a cheque and I now have to pay R41 service fee on top of everything else to get my money back. At the end of the day I get inconvenienced and penalised for dutifully paying the money due to misinformation and incompetence on their behalf. It is really shocking that I get done in because someone else slipped up.
