My daughter breaks tooth in half and its cash and doc finished at 11

<p>I get a message from my wife that my 12yr old paraplegic CP daughter has just broken her tooth, so I desperately call around, in the off-chance there is a dentist open...</p> <p> </p> <p>Lo and behold, as expected, nobody is open... I FINALLY find and call Medicross Vereeniging, and ask for an emergency appointment, I am on medical aid, so this should be covered fully. I am told firstly, they ONLY do cash (which was actually mentioned first) I must claim it back from the medical aid, and secondly, as its after 11am, both dentists have left and will only be back tomorrow, can i please bring my daughter, who is currently screaming, in pain, in at 8... REALLY?!</p> <p> </p> <p>Now, seriously, i generally expected private dentists to be closed, it's the nature of people to take holidays, but to be told no, no doctor will come back for an emergency, when they JUST left not even an hour ago? Thats disgustingly selfish! but hey, who can begrudge someone their time with family over a child patient screaming in pain!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>This shows me the focus of your doctors - its a money making job, not a vocation to help those in need...</p> <p> </p> <p>Good luck to Medicross, but this is the tale of woe i will share with all i know in the Vaal, on where its doctors priorities lie...</p>
