HIV TESTING A MISSION IN MIDRAND

yesterday me and my new partner decided to take tests to do HIV tests a process that i feel should be smooth and easy... midrand area proved me wrong after several phone calls and door to door trying to find out who can help us with rapid tests. we visited Medi-cross that had promised that rapid tests can be done only to frustrated when we walked in there and were told they dont do it that way but only by normal consultation, the worst was we went to the government one Midrand clinic where we were welcomed by a sister at reception asking why we dont know each other's numbers by head and us refusing to answered got paper thrown to us and told to go outside and wait for numbers. another kind lady took us through to testing rooms,wait and after about 30mins a lady walked out and tell us she is going for lunch we must come back after 1h. we ended up at dischem Carsweld where we finally got sister Ria VD Westhuzen who give us a service as it should be in this environment and all was done and finished within 30 mins.<br> Bottom line is. How are we as a nation doing to fight against HIV if getting this process can be so harsh and personal so ugly. lets help in this fight than making it bad..
