Great Service but at what cost?

Like many I assume, I chose to use Medicross Tokai Dentistry department, a part of the Netcare family as their sings say, as their costs were aligned with medical aid rates. Well, that was until last year. I recently had a tooth that chipped and went to have it fixed. There was nothing wrong with the care but they have decided that charging medical aid rates is not good enough, and believe that charging almost 30% above medical aid rates are acceptable. To fix a chipped tooth, which did not even require a local anesthetic, lasting less than 15 minutes resulted in a bill of over R 1,400.00. As a company, does Medicross and Netcare not feel ashamed for ripping people off, because you really should. I am not in favor of NHI but I can see why government wants to regulate your salaries because you are ripping the public off!
