Avoid Stelkor and their disagreeing doctors

For a simple procedure, I had to see 5 doctors, 3 of which were at Stelkor. They referred me to specialists unnecessarily, and charged me for follow up consultations when their treatment didn't work. When I got an infection, the one doctor called to tell me I was irresponsible in my wound care. I come from a family of doctors, so this is far from the truth. I ended up in Mediclinic's Emergency Room one night, because they "had no one to help me at Stelkor"

It was so unprofessional for a doctor from the rooms to call me and raise their voice at me, also telling me they didn't agree with the treatment protocol from their collegues. They accused me of being negligent - I can prove otherwise. A total disappointment !!

A simple issue has now cost me over R5000 and they refuse to discount anything. They were rude and unprofessional in their handling of the matter, so I would give them a BIG thumbs down !! I would rather go elsewhere. They will lose our families business, and I will continue to spread the word about my experience.
