Bad experience with clinic nurse.
Terrible service from the clinic nurse. Took my son for his 14 week vaccine. The nurse was on lunch. When she came back, her attitude was very abrupt and unpleasant. She did not wash her hands or sanitize. She refused to weigh my son and said if I want to I can. She didn’t assist in sanitizing the scale, I had to do so myself. Proceeding with the vaccine I had asked her if she washed her hands to which she responded positively , however that was untrue as I was with her from the time she walked in to the pharmacy and did not see her washing her hands or using the tap. She didn’t show us the clean and sealed injection packs, or the vaccination boxes to confirm that the correct vaccines were being administered.
Most importantly it was noted by my sons doctors that the vaccine was given in an unusual place. Although considered fine - it was give at the upper buttock rather than the normal location for a vaccine. The manner she administered it in was rushed and harsh, she did not bother checking if my son was bleeding. She simply used cotton wool and told me I could take him , upon which I saw that the injected area was bleeding and had to ask for plasters to put on him myself.
I consider her to be unapproachable with no bedside manners, very harsh and rushed and did not follow protocol. We have been to dischem clinics for vaccines and the service we received there was remarkable.
Would not go back to Medicare savoy. No issues with the pharmacy itself, however the nurse at the clinic was unprofessional.
