Shocking and Unprofessional Service from News 24

On the 4th March 2021 we contacted Media 24 by mobile phone and spoke to Melissa Tippelt to have the Citizen newspaper delivered to us from Mondays to Saturday for 3 months period. Melissa emailed us an invoice for the 3 month period which we paid immediately. She that we will receive the first copy of the Citizen on Monday, which we never received and we phone and told News 24 that we hadn't received the Citizen, we then received it on the Tuesday. After that we received the Citizen for the next 2 weeks without any problems. All of a sudden we never received the newspaper on the Saturday and we phoned to tell them that we hadn't received it and were told that we hadn't paid to receive a Citizen on the Saturday. We phone Melissa on the Monday and told her that we hadn't receive the newspaper on the Saturday and that we need another invoice for the Saturday delivery for a 3month period, which she emailed immediately and which we paid immediately. Since we paid for the delivery of the Saturday Citizen on the 29th March we have not received one Saturday Citizen newspaper. After we had made payment for the Saturday newspaper on the second Saturday the 10th April we never received the newspaper as the first Saturday was Easter Saturday and there was no Citizen. We phone News 24 that we had not received the newspaper and we were told that we are on the system and they don't know why the paper was not delivered. Since then we have tried numerous times to contact News 24 with no success and also sent an email to Melissa with no response. The one day it cost us R45 on mobile phone costs and never spoke anyone only being told that there are a high volume of enquiries. No one has ever contacted us regarding no deliveries on a Saturday. We have had the same contract with Independent Newspaper for a great number of years and had very few problems with delivery of the news paper. Apparently News 24 took over the delivery of the newspaper from Independent Newspaper during February this year. Truly shocking and unprofessional service from News24.
