Unacceptable treatment

I Liezel Botes had my daughter Werne Botes at Emfuleni Mediclinic casualties on Thursday 23rd of January 2020 at about 19:00. I waited patiently for her to call the nurse but no one came to assist me. Then the sister that does the vitals came out and took the next patient through. I got up asked her can they please assist my daughter the finger is bleeding and she has severe pain. She told me to go to the back ring the bell and talk to the nurse, so I did and the one at the nursing station told me to go wait my turn they will be with me shortly.

This kind of treatment in unacceptable, my daughter is 5 years old, she had a traumatic amputation of her left middle finger with an arterial bleed. I’ve been working in the medical sector for more than 12 years and I have never treated a patient this way. The procedure followed and Emfuleni Mediclinic casualties are terrible and the staff surly has no humanity or care for the patients, we are just another number.
