Unacceptable Experience at Mediclinic Potchefstroom Pediatric Ward

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the level of service received at the pediatric ward of Mediclinic Potchefstroom. What was already a stressful and emotional time for our family was made significantly worse due to the poor and frankly pathetic service delivery by the staff.

From the outset, we experienced a clear lack of compassion, urgency, and professionalism. Communication was inconsistent, with nurses often unavailable or dismissive of concerns. Basic care routines were neglected, and it felt as if the wellbeing of my child was not a priority. Simple requests were met with resistance or ignored altogether, and the overall atmosphere was cold and unsupportive.

As a parent, you trust a private hospital with the care of your child, expecting at the very least competent and respectful service — unfortunately, Mediclinic Potchefstroom failed dismally in this regard.

This experience has left us not only disheartened but also deeply concerned for other families who may find themselves in similar circumstances. I urge Mediclinic management to urgently assess and address the issues within the pediatric ward. No parent should have to go through this!!!
