Shocking treatment at Mediclinic Sandton Emergency

My adult daughter was rushed to Sandton Mediclinic ER at 1.00am in the morning as she had accidently managed to slice her thigh from her knee to more than half way up her leg. She was bleeding profusely. She was given a yellow in triage. Her husband had bandaged her in an attempt to curb the bleeding. At no stage was the wound looked at and evaluated. After a couple of hours of waiting, her husband had to REQUEST that she at least be given something for the pain. He had to ask twice before anyone assisted. A doctor eventually saw her and appeared surprised at how much bleeding had occurred. At one stage she was shaking uncontrollably, and struggling to breath. Her oxygen saturation was dropping. She was eventually stitched up and left the hospital at 5h35 in the morning. I truly feel that 4 and a half hours to be seen to in this situation is absolutely unacceptable, and would recommend anyone needing emergency assistance go elsewhere. Even if Sandton is the closest hospital, the drive to any hospital in Johannesburg, no matter where they go, even if the drive is a couple of HOURS away, it would be more beneficial to them
