R1000 to see a DR!!! on top of medical aid cost

<p>On Sunday 29 January my 3yr old son fell, and hit his mouth really hard on a table. His mouth was bleeding and his front tooth moved back. We rushed him to the Medi clinic emergency room in Gardens, Cape Town.</p> <p> </p> <p>On arrival we were told that if we wanted to see a Dr. we had to pay R1000 in cash, as they dont have any Dr in the emergancy room. This is ontop of the hospital bill that they send to the medical aid (I am not sure of this amount yet) </p> <p> </p> <p>This is completely wrong as they are taking atvantage of people that is really in need of medical attention, and would pay that amount in a heartbeat. This is immoral and wrong. </p>
