paedriatic ward- noise levels- disrespect.

<p>I would like to ask the medi clinic management team to better the concepts in a paedriatic ward. this is a place where very sick children lie. Rest. and try get better. Instead, the noise levels and respect for the children and parents are beyond disgusting. Babies sleep anytime around 7. The nurses stand outside your door having a big party laughing chatting yelling loud making such a noise untill extemely late hours. The noise levels are horrible. They bring the bed linen for parents around 10 at night, they open and close the door without any consideration for the babies sleeping. They don't care whether the kids will wake up or not. I honestly don't understand how this is a place for healing and getting rest. I love the signs everywhere on the walls- please keep the noise levels down people need rest to heal? really?. The paediatric ward is louder than a pub for heavens sake. I'm in Sunninghill as u write this it's 22:20 and the noise is horrible. my child has been tossing and turning since her bedtime and everytime they start laughing screaming she jumps and wakes up. She cannot sleep and she has to wake every 3 hours to be nebulised, so basically this child amongst many others will get absolutely no sleep. Please guys this is a hospital. And this is a paediatric ward to top it off. Please respect these children. they are clearly very ill to be here and need rest. New concepts definitely need to come into place. </p>
