Nightmare in Nelspruit Mediclinic

My wife was admitted at Nelspruit ICU on Ventilator. While she was ventilated the staff was filling in the spreadsheets with all the monitor details. They were so involved in filling numbers that they forgot to attend to the patient. My wife started breathing by here self and the hand bell was not working for 4 days. It was useless trying to get here attention and she had to do No2 in the bed several times. It took them up to 25 min to clean her up. The O2 monitor was not indicating the lower important Oxygen reading. It is supposed to be set at 85% minimum and then warn the staff if O2 to low. This is a life saving setting. After enquiring about that the alarm was checked and it was set at 70%!!! You will be dead by the time the staff realizes the patient is not responding. Can this be in a private hospital? The moment I pointed this out I was accused of interfering in treatment. I had to arrange a air medical ambulance to take her down to Cape town where she recovered. What a nightmare experience. Shame on you Mediclinic. I wonder if the CEO would be happy if his wife ended up in a situation like this?
