Mrs. Neera Bhika

Mrs Neera Bhika (Sleep Lab, Sandton Medi-Clinic) and Medcore Billing I am extremely angry about the service received from Mrs. Neera Bhika and her billing company, Medcore Billing. This lady seems to be in charge of the Sleep Lab and sends out her worker bees to get EEG’s etc. done. This year in June I was hospitalised for 10 days, being assured by doctors that all costs were covered. I was hardly out of the hospital and I received an account from Mrs. Neera Bhika with additional costs that were my responsibility. My first question: Why was I NOT TOLD that she does not charge medical aid rates? Surely this should be disclosed and then I have the RIGHT to choose whether I want the treatment or not? Obviously, this is not being done which traumatized me even more. And, why would doctors do such a thing? Would they be out of pocket? I don’t think so somehow. Then I had to send proof of payment. I did not know how to do this on the app so I notified the billing company with the reference number to check that payment was done. In September I received a scathing email from Mrs. Neera Bhika via Medcore Billing that they would list me for non-payment etc. etc. I received help and then sent proof of payment which was paid in June. I noticed that I had actually paid too much to Mrs. Neera Bhika and requested to be reimbursed. Can I now list them as they threatened to do to me? As of yet not a word from either party. Why? The second question is: When will I be reimbursed and when will I receive an apology, Mrs.Bhika and Medcore? The greed and arrogance of the medical fraternity is frankly astounding.
