Milnerton Medi Clinic Emergency response poor

I will not recommend Milnerton Medi Clinix In the event of an emergency to anyone.

My mom was admitted after breaking her ankle and foot in three places and dislocating it, as well fracturing her other leg. When I arrived with her, the woman behind the counter sent a security guard to get her out of my car, as opposed to medical, trained personelle.

In addition, any reasonable person would have agreed that she was in need of urgent medical care. The lady behind the counter who admitted patients said that there are two other people who came in first; it was clear their ailments were not critical. It was only when I argued and had to raise my voice that she agreed, all while continuing to type on the keyboard. It took 20 minutes for my mom to get medical attention.

The woman in triage - a student - was clearly deaf to my mom’s pain and continued with “protocol” while she asked the most inane questions and took her blood pressure and other vitals - ignoring her legs!

I also was not allowed to accompany her; And for more than an hour I did not get any feedback. I was only told she was with the doctor; and this was only after pressing for detail.

I really wish the staff would have shown the appropriate response to the situation, and that my mom would have received medical attention sooner. The emergency admittance staff didn’t show any empathy; and clearly lacked the knowledge to treat the situation as serious.
