Mediclinic Lephalale robbing citizens
On the 22 of April witch is an holiday we took our daughter to the Mediclinic Hospital in Lephalale. Our daugter was having a bad cough and a fever. We were sent trough to the casualty department. before any person or doctor treated our daughter we were told that we had to open an Orange triage file at the reception. Te receptionist then took our details and revered me to the next counter at wich point we were told to wait. The first lady told us we had nothing to pay on her side but that we would have to pay the doctors fee. As I knew that my medical aid was depleted I told her that we would have to pay by card. After the consultation we paid R1370. The doctor only gave a script. We paid and was told everything is settled. How big was my surprise when I received an additional account of R1639.00.
We therefore have to pay R1370 for the doctor and an additional R1690 for the hospital.
Is this normal procedure? An Amount of R3060.00 This I think is ****************. A normal consultation fee is R455.00
We have been using Mediclinic in Vryburg for more than 4 years and have never paid more than R500 to see the doctor at the hospital casualty. I think Lepahale Mediclinic has not been fair to the citizens of this town.
