Medi clinic vereeniging

My son was admitted on the 26th of May 2024, at around 21h00. We gave a thorough main complain to the receptionist, when we were opening files, nurse who was doing vitals. Sister at casualty and the Dr who was attending my son.

He was having fever, and complained of Stomach cramps on the left Lowe abdomen.

The Dr who was attending my son after I gave her a thorough case history, she took put the phone and googled the symptoms( my assumption), put the phone back and immediately said she suspect appendix.

She suggested CT scan. We took my son for CT scan, which I felt was extreme, and they results said he had lot of stool. The sister put some water at the back and said it will assist my son with relieving the stool, which it did.

The Dr said my son was constipated, and I asked about the fever, she said it will go away as the medication will assist.

I was not happy with the discharge though, we left around 01h00.

At 05h00, my son woke up screaming of pain and his fever had started again. I called an ambulance, and my son was transfered to Medi clinic Emfuleni, the casual Dr suspected tonsil, and immediately admitted my son.

Now my medical aid is rejecting Medi clinic vereening claims, and I will indebted for the treatment that I feel did not assist my son.
