Medi Clinic Hospital and Discovery Medical aid.

My wife was admitted for a operation to be done. After being booked in and fully admitted prepped for theater awaiting Dr. Haron Bahadur arrival she was asked to leave. Medi-Clinic Hospital in Trichardt MP did not have approval from the medical aid yet (Discovery). The medical aid said they have by Law 16 ours to authorize. Dr. Haron Bahadur (Gynecologist) receptionist is one of the most un professional people I worked with. She told us everything has been arranged, they have someone in the hospital doing their admissions and authorizations, gave us all the forms and asked us go and book a bed in hospital. Bookings and paperwork was done the day before. On investigation the medical aid received their paperwork from the Hospital/Gynecologist on end of business the day before. I Tried from my side the day before to make sure everything was in order with the medical aid. It was so difficult getting through to Discovery I had to work through the MNG agent to confirm that everything is in order. Discovery said "don't worry sir, the hospital works on a live system directly with all medical aids, if something is not in place or in order, they will not do the admission." The humiliation was so big my wife don't want to go back.
