My husband was admitted 02:00 on a Saturday morning, they immediately put him under sedation, on a ventilator in ICU. Medi-clinic Bloemfontein never phoned for authorisation, they only let me know the following Tuesday that they didn't get authorisation. How do you admit someone without it? And I know for a fact that they could have phoned for it on the Saturday or even the Sunday. 8 Different bills adding up to R76 000 that we are liable to pay because of Medi-Clinic's negligence. And they just pull up their shoulders!
