Lack of Follow-Up and Unresolved Medical Care

I have been a patient at Mediclinic for several years and have always valued the care provided. However, my most recent visit—this past Monday, March 30th, 2026—has left me deeply disheartened.

During the appointment, the doctor ordered blood tests through Lancet and advised that it would be best to wait for the results before proceeding with a prescription. I returned home, still in pain, holding onto the hope that the results would come in quickly so I could finally receive the medication I needed.

The following day, Tuesday, I called to follow up but was told the results were not yet available. I waited patiently, trusting that the doctor would reach out as soon as they arrived. By the next day, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I contacted Lancet directly. They confirmed that the results had already been sent to the doctor.

I then called the reception again, hoping to speak with the doctor. I was told I could not be put through, but that the doctor would add me to his diary to call me back. A few minutes later, the same receptionist called to inform me that the results had also been sent directly to me. I logged in to view them, but as a patient without a medical background, I was unable to interpret what I was seeing. I continued to wait for the promised call from the doctor to explain the findings and provide the necessary prescription.

My initial call to the practice was around 10:00 AM. I waited until 3:00 PM before reaching out again. When I called back to ask once more to speak with the doctor, the receptionist informed me that the doctor had said there was no need for a call since the results had already been sent to me.

I explained that while I appreciated receiving the results, I am not a medical professional and cannot interpret them on my own. More importantly, even if I could, I still required a prescription to treat the pain I was experiencing. Despite this, no further support was offered, and I was left without the care I had been waiting for.

Ultimately, I had no choice but to take my results to another doctor just to receive a prescription.

This experience has truly broken my heart. After years of trust and consistency, to be left in pain without communication or clarity—and to feel as though my need for medical guidance was dismissed—has been incredibly painful.
