Lack of caring for a toddler

After a month I finally decided to speak out about service at Kloof ER. Our little daughter of 2 years old was taken the ER after she vomited 3 x the day. The Dr on duty made a hasty diagnosis of faecal impaction. She continued to vomit during the visit and I had to request an anti- emetic. The dr assured me after giving her an enema she will be recovering soon. The whole evening she was still vomiting and could not keep down any electrolytes. We took her back to the ER. Being in the medical profession myself I could see she was dehydrated. Dry chapped lips, lethargic and increased heart rate. The doctor on duty barely looked at her, did blood tests and made an appointment with paediatrician's office, 11 am the morning. This was at 7 am!!!! He did not bother to place her on a drip or call the paediatrician on duty. My husband rushed her to the paediatrician who confirmed she should've been placed on a drip a while ago. She only started to produce urine 16 hours later. I would've expected that a medical dr would be able to place a drip for a dehydrated child? I would never use Kloof mediclinic ever again!!!!
