The most terrible hospital that I have come across.

Patient was admitted as an emergency to this hospital on 02/04/2023, complaining of severe stomach pains.

Firstly, when the admission forms was completed, the Head Nurse asked if the patient has has any operations that they should know about. We informed them that the patient [82 old Female] has a pacemaker. The nurse asked us how she got the pacemaker??? Really??? Did she swallow it.

Now began our nightmare. The patient was admitted and immediately all kinds of tests were being done on her - of which tests on her Heart was done. They ignored the fact that that was not wat the patient was complaining about.

Instead of stabilizing her and transferring her to Midvaal [Network hopsital], they gave her an injection and told us she will be ok now.

Two days later they STILL haven't figured out what is wrong with her, and her condition deteriorated - still looking past the real issue.

Upon having her discharged and taken to Midvaal, the personnel there immediately determined that the patient had a ruptured colon. How in the world did Mediclinic not pick this up when she was in their care? They were supposed to immediately operate, but didn't

Midvaal however tried their best to remedy the situation, but it was too late by that time due to Sepsis.

The patient passed away not to long after.

Mediclinic stalled for time, and didn't even realize the seriousness of the situation.

She could have maybe had a chance if they acted sooner, but now she is gone.

I will not recommend them to anybody - they play with old peoples lifes, and just see how they can milk money from you for unnecessary expenses from their side.
