discimination of unfair treatment of on duty police officers visiting the hospital

On monda 13 may 2024 i was on duty as a police official i took my wife to the doctor and the docto decided to admit my wife at medi clinic limpopo,

I too my wife to the hospital,to my surprise when i arrive at the hospital the security said i can enter the hospital because i have a gun on my waist,i was in full police uniform still on duty by that time.

To my surprise some people were just passing with their bags without being searched or scanned,no one is being searched on the entrance but a police officer is beeing given a hard time because they said the hospital i a gun free zone.

The hospital does not even have equipment to search for medals or dangerous weapon at the entrance ,us like their targeting police officials because their firearm are visible,mind you all this is happening while my wife is crying seeking my surpport,

My problem is this. -are police officials in uniform on duty not allowed at the hospitals. -are police not human beings like other? And this incident happened to me again in polosho netcare hospital polokwane 2 years back, -so if a police officer is on duty and they receive a call that his family member is in hospital or admitted what must happen,should i go home and take off the uniform just to gain entrance at the hospital?

According to my observation is like this rules where put in place just for police officers because no other persons is being searched,

To be honest ai was so embarased that day,do i look like a psychopath with firearm on his waist?
