Cape Gate mediclinic ER is pathetic

Cape Gate ER is a no go. I went to the ER with my 8month old baby with a very high fever and was afraid he could get the fits. We arrived just before 12am. They took my baby's virals and temp. Then we waited a hour for a bed. After we got a bed we waited another hour for the doctor to arrive. In this 2 hours know one came to us and ask if we are OK. I told the Dr what was wrong with my baby and all se did was look in my baby's ears. While she packed the equipment away I asked her to look in his throat also, and she did it very poorly and told me his throat is fine. They took blood from baby to test for infection. Hour and half later a nurse came to me and give me a priscription for antibiotics and setpille. They could not tell me what was wrong with my baby. So around 3:30 we where discharged. They charged me around R1500 and could not tell me what was wrong with my baby. Monday morning a had to make an appointment at my house Dr to find out my baby have croupe and the medication the ER Dr prescribed was wrong dose. From 12 am they didn't check up on us once to see if baby's fever is fine. While I was waiting to get a bed there was 3 mom's walking out of the ER with their babies and took them to another hospital because of the bad service they got. Cape Gate Mediclinic ER will never see me and will tell everyone I come in contact with to never go to Cape Gate ER.
