Bad service from Dr Greeff

I would like to log a complaint about Dr Greeff. I was in a car accident and had to undergo immediate surgery. I was hospitalized for two week at Herm**** Medi Clinc and then moved to a step down facility. All my hospital bill were paid in full. Dr Greeff never submitted his bill to the medical aid and not once he notified me or husband that the patient needs to submit their own bills. My case was an emergency I was in high care and morpheme for days.

I received his account 3 months after the accident and went I sent it to the medical aid they told me they don’t pay for bills older than 3 months. This account could have been paid for by the medical aid and as a doctor he should know that his account would have been if they submitted it to the medical aid or told myself or my husband to do so.

This was not a scheduled operation were I was told that Dr Greeff don’t submit bills to the medical aid. I feel in a case like mine were its an emergency you rushed to theatre and the next again surely he could have submitted his account to the medical aid. Now I need to settle a bill due to his … I was very impressed with the staff of the hospital but due to this nonsense I will never recommend any to this hospital. As a doctor he should know a case like mine all bills and short payments will be paid out of the PMB so why will I not submit his bill for payment now I need to pay him out of my own pocket.
