Bad nursing

As a frequent visitor to my friend who under went a knee replacement operation I was horrified at the deterioration of nursing care at this hospital. I had been told that this hospital had been voted the second best MEICLINIC in the country. I dread to think what the others must be like. My friend 's bed was never tidied or changed in the 4 days she was in the ward.nor was anything near her tidied or put away. The half used drip and stand was not removed after being disconnected. The staff were very friendly but that is where it ended. I feel there was no supervision from the matron/ senior staff. It certainly was not due to staff shortage as the wards were very empty and there were plenty of nurses hanging around in the passages. <br> I do hope the nursing returns to its former good work. I know I am not that e only one complaining..the others are worried about repercussions if they complain. <br> <br>
