Amazing hospital experience

It is impossible to over-emphasize my appreciation and gratitude for Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg.

My elderly mother was rushed in to the Cardiac intensive care. Every single person we encountered at the hospital during her 5 day stay treated us with smiles, compassion, and flawless competence. From the ladies at the admission desk, through to the person who silently handled all medical aid matters (like magic!), through to the ever-present, ever loving and caring nurses, and to the overwhelmingly sensitive and caring doctors, we were inspired with confidence, hope and love throughout.

I cannot imagine a better experience in any hospital anywhere in the world.

My particular thanks to Dr Govender and Dr Austen - both of whom are wonderful human beings - and to nurses Bernice and Nox, and indeed all the amazing nurses in the cardiac intensive care. Even the cleaners were at all times quick to smile and offer friendliness.

I, and indeed all my family visiting from Johannesburg, were left speechless by the quality of care and hospitalisation given.
