Dr De Campos Mediclinic Medforum

My mom was admitted to Medforum on the 11thof October 2021 for a hysterectomy to be performed by Dr de Campos on the 12th of October 2021. The surgery was scheduled for 10:00 am but only went to the theatre at 14:45. This meant that she had spent over 12hrs without food or water. She is diabetic and has hypertension.

Fast forward to the 23rd of November, she goes to the doctor for her 6-week post-op check-up and she tells Dr de Campos that she is still bleeding and had discomfort in her stomach that affected her appetite and bowel movements. He then decides to book her for another operation on the 26th of November. The operation was supposed take an hour but ended up taking 3 hours because they discovered that a part of her intestine had lodged itself into an opening that the doctor did not stitch up properly during the first operation. She is now back to square one in her recovery.

The doctor is also bad at keeping time. Very, very bad. Don't book an appointment with him if you're short on time or care about your time at all, do not go to this doctor. He never sticks to the appointment time HE gives you.

And as if that wasn't bad enough the anesthesiologist or nurse, who's name I do not know, cut her upper lip with the breathing tube leaving a cut inside her mouth and outside.

Overall bad experience for her at the hands of this doctor and considering how much money she pays for these operations, it's really disappointing.
