Complain about poor service at this hospital

My father was admitted to your hospital the 12th of May 2024. He was admitted to icu. I and my mom went to see him on the 13th. He was very confused. He had a low BP with a SBP 0f 60s. I kept on asking th RN working there to please phone the Dr to get him something to increase his BP. She reassured me she will ask her shift leader to phone the Dr.

I then asked if the Dr. Can contact us in regards to my father. We went visiting at 11:00. She said she will ask. I knew my father was sick but not dying sick. He was admitted the sunday evening and we till today do not know for what he was admitted.

On the 14th me and my mom went to visit my dad. He was very confused. He was restrained, by the way no one contacted us for consent for restrainers. No one contacted us to tell us why he was admitted. He had co morbidities but he just was short of breath thats why we took him to hospital. When i got there i asked the En why he is restained? She then called the RN working there who told us he is confused and thats why he needed restraints.

I am.also a ICU RN. Up and till today i do not feel my father got the correct treatment in your hospital. I also believe he died of neglegence.

We were there from 10 to 12 in the morning. His BP remained low i also asked about it and they informed me he was on Dobutrex. The Dr. Also did not contact me but they saw him.

I then left at 12. When i phoned half pass 2 the afternoon. The secretary picked up the phone. I asked het i want to know how is Mnr Snyders as i was worried about him. The secretaries response was .... oh they had resus him.

My hart broke as i knew resus is bad. I then got in my car and drove to the hospital from pretoria north to Medforum. 15 minutes later the Suster working with Mr. Snyders phoned as said please come to hospital. Thats when i new thats what we tell family when their loved ones died.

When i got there the RN came near and told me remeber my father was sick for a long time. And that is the point he was not sick. He suddenly died and no one inform us why.

I would like someone in the hospital to pull his file and contact me and explain to me why my father died.

This is not how any patient should be treated. I was informed my father was resused. I checkes him and he did not look like a patient that was resused.

I humbly please ask that i get feedback on this urgently otherwise i would have to resort to legal assistance.
