fees for RAF docs to be completed

<p>I called Med24 offices in Pietermaritzburg for assistance of completing my RAF forms after I was treated for my motor vehicle accident, at their medical facilities on 2 August 2016. I was told that I need to pay R850 upfront prior to me emailing any forms to their offices.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was gobsmacked and infuriated and further stated that this is a *******. The office responded with below:</p> <p> </p> <p>“Good Day Madam,</p> <p> </p> <p>Kindly note R 850 is the standard tariff for completing RAF documents, and is paid by ALL attorneys we deal with.</p> <p> </p> <p>Once you have made the payment you can send through your proof of payment as well as your RAF 1 to me. Please do not send any documentation until the payment has been executed.</p> <p> </p> <p>St Annes Hospital 033 - ********** </p> <p>Medi Clinic ********** 700”</p> <p> </p> <p>I am not an attorney/lawyer nor am I appointing such to represent me. I am collating and submitting all matters relating to my motor accident on my own accord and I will deliver to RAF myself.</p> <p> </p> <p>My understanding that the above does not apply to me as I am a sole individual and not any legal entity.</p> <p> </p> <p>Kindly explain or provide feedback please?</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you</p>
