Mecer 1KW 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter - load shedding ******* R18 000 for 2 inverters only lasting 4 months

Desperate times for customers seeking alternative power source during Load shedding stage 5 or 6 causes people to pay a lot of money for inverters. Unfortunately we ended up buying a Mecer product that only lasted for 4 months. We bought two Mecer inverters - Mecer 1KW 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter cost of R9 000 each ie. total R18 000. The batteries lasted for 6 hours in the beginning and now after 4 months only 1 hour. I would not recommend that anybody to buy a Mecer inverter with a 200 cycle battery. I thought Mecer is a reliable product and a 1kw inverter would solve the load shedding issues. I was so happy at first and thought buying a more expensive and brand name would be more reliable than cheap no name brands. This has now ended up in regret buying this product. please do NOT buy this product with a battery with 200 cycles lasting only 4 months! I cannot see why Mecer or any store is still selling this product for up to R12 000. When asking a battery replacement under warranty - i was told that the battery does not form part of the warrantee, A new battery that would last longer R5 000. It is a lead acid batter and not lithium ion as I saw on the ad. To solve my problem a further R10 000 for 2 batteries
