MeatWorld = Vrot Meat

Bought meat at Meat World Centurion (Old Jhb Road) on 22 December 2020 - some 4kg oxtail for Xmas lunch, boerewors and biltong / drywors. The oxtail was off - we found that out after cooking - the smell and taste convinced us it was not good anymore. Luckily I found a Shoprite store open, and we could still prepare oxtail - this time round in perfect condition. I left it at that - R330 down the drain, but to try and claim it from MeatWorld after you've thrown away the packaging and slip is just not worth it. Yesterday we opened up the boerewors, and guess what? Off again. It seems as if it has been repackaged if one looks at the way it is packaged. How can one trust a butcher, who is supposed to KNOW THEIR PRODUCT, and sell bad meat to the public? I recall that a number of years ago there was a investigation done into their meat products by CarteBlanche - maybe time again because their quality is not good, Won't be buying meat there anymore. By the way, at least the biltong and drywors was good.
