Meat World (14th Ave) unsafe meat products

I passed through the fairlands/Northcliff area last week and popped in to get son dry wors to chew on for my trip home. R50 for 2 sticks, but that was not all. A day later I was violently ill and feverish. This lasted for 2 days and today I am still recovering. I don't know when Listeriosis kicks in or how it manifests itself.....so I will sit tight and wait out the coming week or two.

Carte Blanche did a report on MEAT WORLD and their practice of relabeling old meat as fresh some time ago. It seems they continue their old practices, placing consumers at serious risk of illness or death. I spoke to someone in that area who new this 14th Ave branch, some years ago an employee was fired from the branch for speaking out about their poor hygiene and practice of selling old meat as fresh.
