Manager was defensive about refund on a rotten fish

Hi I bought pre packed frozen snook fish in Alberton meat world on Saturday the 24/02 Then on Saturday I let it defrost by putting it out of the freezer overnight. In the morning when I was preparing to cook it I opened it and it was off and when my hubby took it back with till slip the manager there was horrible to him he smelled the fish and said this fish is not off. It was a back & forth conversation the manager was trying to prove that the fish was not off while it was. The fish was too old I think it was pre packed very long time ago. He was not nice at all to my hubby he actually did not want it to be brought back according to him because he was convinced that it’s not off. After a long debate he was refunded but all I can say I don’t think I will ever buy in meat world Alberton because of the managers attitude when their product was off and I spent my fuel to drive back there to return the fish and he was still mean.
