Fresh meat reeking of disinfectant

<p>I recently purchased a whole lamb from Meat World Northcliff on one of their specials. I was asked how I would like like it to be cut up and that was done to my satisfaction. However, when I wanted to cook/fry a portion of loin chops I noticed a distinct smell of disinfectant. Even after frying the meat tasted of disinfectant. This is the second time I have experienced this smell and taste on the meat purchased from this butchery. Previous time was with freshly ground topside mince purchased there. The smell and taste is distinct and can't be missed when compared to fresh meat purchased elsewhere. Would suggest that management check that their staff are using disinfectants correctly are coached to diluting and using the disinfectant products the correct way when cleaning work areas in the butchery as meat is contaminated with it. Although prices are good, I'll rather pay more and buy and get good quality meat elsewhere in future. Have also advised my friends that buy there to do the same.</p>
