Disgusting ways of treating guest and food and Still no response

My situation causing this problem started about two weeks ago when the "FRESH CHICKENS " (5 PER BAG) were on special. we purchased a bag like we normally do and what we normally do is package it in air tight containers and place them in the deep freeze immediately, however there was something that my mom was not happy about. we cooked one the week we bought the chickens and my dad, mom and I ended up very ill and didn't know why, we decided to have chicken for dinner last night (29 November) and when the chicken was on the surface before being defrosted it had a strange smell, i then tried to run water over it to defrost it and noticed the smell didn't disappear. when i took the other container out the deep freeze the chickens were green (that is gross). We took the chickens back to Meat world today and when speaking to the 'HEAD BUTCHER" and explaining to him the situation, he turns around grabs a fresh chicken out a new bag and forces us to smell the difference between a fresh and off chicken... i could definitely smell the difference and when he was handling he say they both smell the same and he would cook it as it was still good, it also depended when it was slaughtered as to how fresh it is. He also gave a snotty comment about vacuum packed Meat, when opening the packaging , the meat should be left to breathe before being packaged in containers. He gave us our money back but it was the way we were treated that has turned us away from this store.

QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS: 1) Why would we as customers know when the chicken was Slaughtered? 2) why does he argue with a customer when the very pungent aroma of a smelly chicken is in front of him? 3) The Main butcher deals with loads of meat every day and sometimes they themselves can not smell the difference between fresh and off meat 4) Why does vacuum packed meat need to BREATHE before being packaged?

I eventually had to go into the store to get my voucher and they refused to give an apology letter. We managed to get a R300 voucher, however i doubt i will be buying much from their store anytime soon. Their manners are horrible. I have complained to Kellogs about their cornflakes and received a R90 voucher and apology letter in the post. we complained about milk and received two six pack delivered to our house.. so i think they need to rethink their business ethic or they will end up loosing a lot more customers
