POOR BUILT QUALITY
I house was built by MDV back in 2015 in Witbank Duvha Park. The leak from the shower pipes causes damp walls. When I first reported to them they just put new plastering and painted the wall. Seven years later the wall is still damping up.
Secondly the electrical wiring falsely passed inspection. I found out about the false certificate now that I am selling my house. I lost more than R30k on my house value due to the poor built quality form MDV Development.

All MDV houses are built according to stringent quality requirements enforced throughout the building phase by the appointed engineer, local building inspectors, NHBRC Inspectors and finally bank valuators prior to any pay out to the builder. MDV’s guarantee is clearly communicated prior and during handover of the property, with the roof, appliances such as the stove and the geyser typically carrying a 12-month guarantee. The NHBRC guarantee against structural defects is for a period of 5 years.
MDV’s strict building standards would have ensured the fixing of any leaks prior to plastering and painting of any wall. Maintenance is needed - including the attendance to any leaks, repainting of the home every few years and ensuring any additions (including boundary walls) done according to good building practice, will ensure excellent resale value of your property.
