I am Bronwyn. I have a custom furniture manufacturing company situated in Cape Town. We sometimes have to meet demands that seem impossible. Friday 28 August 2026 will be etched in my memory forever. I had to get a parcel from Cape Town to be delivered to Hoedspruit on Saturday 29 August. I started calling courier companies. I explained my situation and while everyone I spoke to understood my dilemma, they could not assist. Hoedspruit is an "outlying area". While chatting to different couriers I learned that Nelspruit is the closest port of call. I searched the internet for couriers based in Nelspruit. I called MDS Collivery. Their trucks are an everyday sight in Cape Town. A kind voice, Yvonne, answered. I explained my situation and she said she will speak to her colleague. Not long after my chat with Yvonne, Lize Kumm calls me. By now I am in a flat panic. Lize immediately grasped the urgency of my situation. In the interim I had the parcel picked up by another courier to get it to JHB. At least from there MDS Collivery could take it to Nelspruit and get it to Hoedspruit. In a perfect world that makes sense, but in reality it would not work. By now the time is moving way too fast as the cut off time is 3pm. Lize does an operational impossible and gets my parcel on a plane from Cape Town/JHB/Nelspruit. On Saturday I receive a call from the courier delivering the parcel to Hoedspruit. The next message is the parcel being handed over to my contact in Hoedspruit. Lize was calm while I panicked. Lize made the very difficult situation seem like an easy, daily task which I now know it was not. If ever I need to transport anything local, inter provincial and to an outlying area I will be sure to use the services of MDS Collivery.
