Dishonest and opportunistic behaviour

We requested a quotation from Mckenzie Diesel for the repair of our diesel pump. They offered to fetch the pump from us and said that the repair would cost approximately R4500. We then received a quotation in excess of R13 900, which was far more expensive than originally discussed. When we did not accept the quotation and said we would send our driver to collect the pump Mac from Mckenzie Diesel refused to release our pump until we paid a R450 collection fee. At no time was it disclosed to us that there would be a fee charged for collection of the pump, added to this we did not ask them to collect the pump, they offered. Our dealings with them have been underhanded from the start and I would advise people to err on the side of caution when dealing with this company.
