Spectacles tint doesn't last

I visited McKenna & Scott in February 2018 for spectacles and received the relevant spectacles after paying in around R2000.00 extra.

Now, not even 2 years later the tint on my spectacles are peeling off. I'm now being told that I didn't request the more expensive tint, yet the frame of my specs are about R7000.00.

First, I wasn't given the different options of the tint and secondly why would I request the cheapest tint if my frame was round R7000.00?

This has always been our family optometrist, where we haven't had these type of issues.

This issue needs to be resolved as I use my spectacles daily and cannot be without it and this is definitely not supposed to happen when specs are less than 2 years old.
