Dishonest Practices and Overcharges

I recently had a terrible experience at MCHOMES PHARMACY in Midrand, and I feel compelled to warn others about the ************ practices of the pharmacist, who also happens to be the owner.

After picking up my medication, I noticed that one of the medications prescribed by my doctor, Prednisone, was missing from the packet. When I asked for a breakdown of my purchase, the pharmacist failed to provide it. I had to follow up in person, and when I finally saw the breakdown, I was shocked to find a mysterious R250 "professional fee" for simply packing the medication. This charge was never disclosed upfront. When I questioned her, she brushed it off, claiming she forgets to inform customers because she deals with so many people.

This level of dishonesty didn’t end there. She had given me medications that were not remotely what my doctor prescribed and refused to offer a refund when I asked her to take them back. To make matters worse, she refused to provide a written breakdown of the charges, even though I needed it to report her ********* practices to the medical council. Instead, she arrogantly told me that since I planned to report her, she wouldn’t cooperate any further.

Since speaking out, I’ve learned that this pharmacist has done this to multiple people, sneaking in extra fees and hiding the breakdown from customers. This is a dishonest, dangerous way to conduct business, especially when it comes to medication. I urge everyone to avoid this pharmacy at all costs.
