Wasted Money and Put-Off Experience at McDonalds
Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Poor Experience at McDonald’s (Meadowdale Branch)
Dear McDonald’s Customer Service Team, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an extremely disappointing experience I had at the Meadowdale store today. I visited the store with my family, and unfortunately, a series of issues left us feeling frustrated, unsafe, and completely dissatisfied with our visit.
Below are the problems we encountered:
1. Unsafe Seating: When my daughter attempted to sit on the bench at the first table near the entrance, she nearly fell due to the bench being broken. This gave her quite a scare. There was no signage or indication to warn customers of the potential danger. This is not only unacceptable but a clear safety hazard.
2.Poor Service and Lack of Utensils: We ordered several items, including the McFlavor Fries with jalapeños. However, no fork was provided. When we approached the counter to request one, the staff member responded that we needed to be patient as she was the only one at the counter and that they were busy. As a result, we had to eat the cheesy fries with our hands—an unpleasant and unhygienic experience.
3.Restroom Without Running Water: After eating, we attempted to wash our hands, only to discover that there was no running water in the restrooms. There was also no signage alerting customers to this issue. This is highly unhygienic and concerning, particularly at a food establishment.
4.Card Machine Malfunction: When we attempted to pay, we were informed that the card machine was not working. This caused further delays and confusion during an already frustrating visit.
5. No Internet or Wi-Fi Access: We were also unable to connect to the store’s Wi-Fi. Staff indicated there was a technical issue, adding to the growing list of inconveniences.
6. Inconvenient Access to Basic Condiments: When we needed an extra sachet of tomato sauce (only one had been given), we were told to rejoin the long queue—mainly caused by the card payment issues. We eventually gave up and left without it.
All of these issues combined made for a deeply unpleasant experience where nothing seemed to work or go right. It felt chaotic and poorly managed, and we certainly did not enjoy our meal.
I have retained the receipt, which includes the date, time, and store details as proof of our visit. Frankly, this visit felt like a complete waste of both our time and money, and it’s not the standard I’ve come to expect from McDonald’s.
I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter further and provide a formal .
