Unhappy and Dissatisfied

I am very unhappy, disappointed and dissatisfied about the service I received from McDonald's Cnr CR Swarts and Ondekkers

On the 19th December 2019 I went to my local McDonald's to get a meal for my child. When I drove in, the drive-thru was already packed and I decided to walk in to make a purchase insight the store. To my disappointment they did not allow me and three other petrones to go in as they close at 22:00h and the time was 22:01h when I went back to my car. I decided to use the drive-thru anyway even though other petrones decided to walk away since they didn't want to wait and it was the most frustrating experience. I ended up standing in a queuing for about 45min just to get a meal. There were a number of cars that decided to drive past as the wait was just too long and frustrating.

By the time I got to the paying booth I could hear the noise staff members were making at the back, I asked for the gentleman to call the manager as we were all restless at the time and other cars were slamming on the hooters to get the queue moving. She did not come to my assistance right till it was time to collect my food on the other booth and the lady on the collection booth called her several times before she came.

Finally the manager came "Fulu" and she did not even try to apologize but she tried giving an explanation of which I really was not interested at that time. *Firstly we had already been queuing for about 45min *There was a long queue of frustrated customers behind me *The staff members were still making noise and dancing as I was laying my complaint with "there manager" *This whole time I was running my engine and had already lost a lot of my petrol

I feel as a manager she did not handle the whole situation properly. Firstly she should have allowed a few costumes to walk in as the drive-thru was packed and moving slow. She should have tried to allow everyone that had already ordered to drive past the booths and park on the side and their food be delivered to their cars. I feel that even though staff is in a jolly mood and maybe even having a Christmas function they should not be making that type of noise and dancing while petrones are there frustrated and waiting to be served. They should have extended the walk in time to serve clients that were willing to walk in and buy as they were sorting out the drive-thru packed queuing cars.

As a direct result of her actions as a manager a lot of customers were walking away, driving away and McDonald's lost a lot of money cause staff were in a jolly mood and the manager is shortsighted to maximize company profits. All they care about was their own interests and the customer and McDonald's can come next.

This behavior was unprofessional in all levels and should be dealt with.
