Unacceptable hygiene rules
NOT INKEEPING WITH COVID - 19 . IF OTHER RESTURANTS USE GLOVES WHY CANT MCDONALDS.
McDonald’s South Africa is transitioning away from using clear gloves in the production area to align with the McDonald’s Global Policy. The use of gloves is not a legislated requirement.
It is important to note that kitchen hygiene extends beyond the use of gloves. Proper execution of hand washing procedures and regular sanitization is equally effective in maintaining a high hygiene in standard kitchen procedures. McDonald’s hygiene and safety policy requires crew members to wash their hands thoroughly every hour for enhanced cleanliness with antimicrobial hand wash. Regular hand sanitization with SABS approved sanitizer is mandatory, occurring every 30 minutes, contributing to a safer working environment.
