TREATED LIKE DIRT!!!

Good day, My name is Xza-Xza Segal, It is with a great sadness and bitterness that I write this to your company because of the HORRIBLE experience I had to endure along with my kids on the 16.01.2018. I entered into the store in Cresta mall at about 14;30-14:45 and wanted to make a purchase of which I ordered and upon wanting to pay I produced a R200 note and was rudely advised that they will not accept the old R200 notes. I requested to know why and was told that is just how it is. I asked where the notice was stipulating this and was ignored and when I requested to speak to a manager to get clarity I was then approached by a male who I suppose was the manager as per the cashier and he also gave me the same rude and unacceptable service. I then requested to get the names of the cashier and manager and they both refused. Furthermore add insult to my injury I was told I can go ahead and complain to head office and that I should take my R200 and spend it at another store in the mall. I felt so belittled and embarrassed by the approach and utter disregard for me as a human. Was it my money not GOOD enough for MacDonald's? My kids where so disappointed and a little traumatized by the incident. I have furthermore had two customers behind me also try to stand up and assist with this abuse and they were too also so disgusted and left with me. I have the lady contact number who bore witness to this atrocity. She gladly obliged to give her number so she may give a statement. I find this VERY disturbing that employees can get away with DAMAGING brand as big as this!!!

Reviewer Update
I was contacted regarding my complaint ref: CAS-48256-V5B7C5, I am happy to say the owner has explained the issue regarding old R200 notes and has apologized for horrific treatment I received. I however am not pleased with the total handling of this as a representative of the brand and its values I would have expected so sort of remorse from him as I was humiliated by his staff and the brand was TRUELLY damaged and would have expected some sort of remuneration for the way I was treated just to show how empathetic you as the franchise owner was and how the brand really appreciates its customers. Please advise?
