Time and money wasted stuck in drive through

This evening I went to the drive through of McDonalds Honeycrest and ordered a ice-cream cone through the speaker. There was about 3 cars in front of me and it took 10 minutes to get to the payment window, where I was told that they are not serving ice-cream tonight as the machine was not working properly. I then had to wait for the cars in front of me to be served before I could get out of the drive through - empty handed and with 25 minutes of time and petrol wasted.<br> Why was I not told over the ordering speaker that my order could not be done?!?!?!?!? in which case I would have been able to leave the drive through...<br> Ridiculous service
