Strand street floor manager manufacturing **** store policies!

After placing my order at McDonald's Strand street in Cape Town this morning, my husband and I were asked to leave the store because according to the cashier and manager Thobela, the official policy is that you may not enter the store while wearing pajama's. When I asked to be issued a refund so that we could leave, Thobela told me that it was not possible and I would have to forfeit my money. After contacting the regional manager, we were informed that there is no such policy and it would be escalated. Up until now, we have not had feedback. It is disgusting how store managers manufacture policy to determine who can enter their store!
