Shocking experience

A harrowing experience at Vincent, East London branch on Saturday 24th June around 6.30pm.

My teenage daughter and myself regularly pop over to the drive-through for a treat. When we arrived, there were hundreds of young teenage children – and I mean hundreds – in the drive-thorugh/car-park area! They took over the entire car-park area, were streaming over the road to the bottle-store and coming back to the car-park with bottles of alcohol. Many of them were clearly under the influence and were blocking the way out. After getting our food from the last window, we had to ask the lady employee to help us get out as the exit was completely blocked by the unruly schoolchildren – she simply shouted at them and they basically ignored her. We had to slowly edge our way through the mob with my hand on the hooter. We were fearful as some of them refused to move and gave us threatening looks. We eventually got out and felt rather shaken.

What I can’t understand is why the Management of McDonalds made absolutely no attempt to clear the mobs of kids, most of whom were not buying anything, and to safeguard their customers – why they did not ensure that their customers could enter the premises, buy their food and exit safely. There was no sign of any kind of organization and it was chaotic and frightening.
