Shocking and *********** McDonalds

Good evening.

My daughter placed an order with Uber Eats on Monday, 05/12/22 at about 2pm.

Delivery was done, and when she checked her order, it was incorrect with 4x items missing.

She notified the Delivery driver, who said it's not his responsibility and she (my daughter) would need to log a complaint via the Uber Eats website.

Which she did.

She called McDonald's Stanger (Kwadukuza) in Balcombe Street to notify them that they had processed the wrong order and items were missing from the combo meals they paid for.

Thulani being the *********** manager he is, admitted that McDonald's were at fault but still requested that my unlicensed daughter come to the restaurant to fetch the missing items herself.

Why do we pay your partner company a delivery fee if we wanted to come instore?

When my wife spoke with him, he again admitted that whoever took the order at the restaurant, had done it incorrectly, and said they would deliver the missing items already paid for.

When the order did not come, we called Thulani, who changed his earlier committment to deliver the missing items and insisted that even though it was McDonald's error, we must deal with Uber Eats.

I gave him my number to deal with me personally, but he kept on calling my daughter to swindle his way out thinking he could get away without accountability.

We only managed to go to the store about 8pm, where he again admitted to McDonald's having processed the incorrect order. He refused to correct the mistake. He also initially refused to give us a more authoritative person to resolve the issue. When he finally gave us the owners details, we went straight to voicemail. He told us the owner would be in the next day ( Tuesday) and we would have to come see him personally. I asked if he could guarantee that the owner would call me, he refused. Finally he went to his office, and refused to come out.

He sent a message with a staff member informing us that he was "trying" to assist because this happened before his shift began.

We left the restaurant at about 8:20pm, because of his incompetence to solve a relatively simple matter for which he refused to accept accountability and make restitution.

We are still out of pocket because we did not receive what we paid for, and also because we had to drive to the restaurant.
