ROTTEN Cajun with an Attitude

On 5 Dec I took my sister for a Cajun burger MEAL at my regular food outlet, in close proximity of my workplace.. as I normally do. This time my sister alerted that she had a "funky" aftertaste from the burger.. and the chips looked and tasted as if they were fried the night before and reheated for sale the next morning. I had most of my burger.. same Cajun MEAL.. when I realised there was indeed an aftertaste. My sis called the store and advised of our experience. Little did we know it was the beginning of a never ending nightmare. Today 16th Dec .. a week and some later.. I was booked off work periodically as I was diagnosed with "Acute Gastroenteritis" The doctor was very diplomatic in the consultation when in actual fact I had food poisening. The objective of the call to the store was to alert them of the quality of food purchased and maybe an apology would have soften the blow. Instead we were challenged to "go ahead and publicise our bad experience" as we did not return the leftovers. Is it the norm for suppliers to assume consumers seek complimentary replacements for an already bad product???? And while they're at it... insult you and imply that you're some ******** in quest of a free MEAL??? Well McDonald's Woodmead.. all I was after..was a sincere apology for the inconvenience and a commitment to comply with your quality assurance, as I grab my morning MEAL from you regularly. Check your card payments. Instead I got challenged to go ahead and complain. Not only had I have to endure excruciating pain and discomfort.. and loss of income for being booked off ill from work... the medical expenses are mounting as I am STILL under medical supervision following my ordeal. I might not get a satisfactory response from one of the world's leading fast food outlets, but rest assured, I will spread the word of your quality of foods and service, similar to the effect of your bad burger in my gut.
